New Kanak Shree

You can find New Kanak Shree at No. 15 A Balaram Ghosh Street, right near the Shyambazar Faria Pukur More. It’s a very busy part of the city, and the energy outside is always high with people shouting and horns blowing. Our shop is tucked into that corner where everyone seems to be rushing somewhere in a hurry. We have been running things here for a while now, and the routine hasn't changed much. The space inside is packed with our stock, so there isn't much room to move around, but we manage to find what we need. We spend our days helping customers who wander in from the heat to look at what we have. It’s a lot of standing behind the wooden counter and pulling items from the high shelves. We don't have a polished sales pitch or anything like that. We just show people the items and let them decide for themselves. The ceiling fan is almost always on its highest setting because it gets really stuffy with the door open to the street all day. Sometimes we sit on the stools and have a bit of tiffin when the shop gets quiet in the mid-afternoon. Shyambazar is a place with a lot of history, and you can feel it in the old buildings and the narrow streets. We like being part of this local scene. Our sign is a bit faded from the sun, but people know where we are. It’s a simple way to make a living, just buying and selling and talking to the people who stop by.
