You can find us over at 9a Hara Prasan Sashtri Sarni, right in Block E of New Alipur. It’s a decent area, though the street gets narrow when people park their cars on both sides. Inside the shop, we’ve got shelves stacked high with sarees. We try to keep them organized by color and material, but after a busy day of showing them to customers, everything ends up in a bit of a mess. My uncle started this place, and I’ve been helping out for a long time now. We aren't big on fancy decorations or bright lights. It's more about having enough space for people to sit down and look at the fabric properly. Some of the patterns are quite traditional, while others are a bit more modern, depending on what the weavers send us. We spend a lot of time talking to folks who come in looking for something for a wedding or a small family function. Dealing with suppliers can be a headache sometimes, especially when the delivery is late. But we manage. The tea guy comes around twice a day, and that’s when we usually take a breather. It’s a family-run kind of thing, so you might see one of the kids running around or someone eating lunch in the back corner. We just do our thing here and hope the customers leave happy with what they bought from the selection.
