Down at No. 10/6 K. B. 1St Lane in Narkeldanga, you’ll find our workshop and shop. Uk Fashion is a place where we deal with clothes and fabric every single day. The lane is quite narrow, so you have to know where you are going to find us. Inside, there is usually the sound of sewing machines running and the smell of fresh cloth. We aren't a big designer brand with a showroom in a mall. We are just local people making clothes for the neighborhood and beyond. There are rolls of fabric stacked up against the walls and threads of every color you can imagine. We spend our time cutting patterns and putting pieces together. Sometimes it gets a bit messy with scraps on the floor, but that is how a working tailor shop looks. People bring us their measurements or tell us what kind of style they are looking for, and we get to work. We don't have a lot of fancy talk about trends or seasons. We just focus on making things that fit and look decent. Narkeldanga is a busy area, and our little spot in the first lane is where we feel at home. It’s hard work, and the days are long, but we like seeing a finished garment ready to be picked up by a happy neighbor. It is just needles, thread, and a lot of patience to get the stitching right.
