Nabarupa

Our place, Nabarupa, is located at 140, Dr Pe Sahiri Sarani. It’s a familiar spot for those who live in the 700050 area of Kolkata. We have been working out of this address for a long time. The street outside is usually busy with people going to and from their jobs. We spend most of our time inside, making sure everything is in its right place. It’s not a very large shop, but it serves us well. We’ve seen many businesses around here come and go, but we’ve managed to stay put. We have a simple routine that we follow every single day. We open the shutters, light the incense, and get to work. Most of our visitors are people who have been coming to us for years. They know exactly where we are and what we do. We don’t really do any promotion or put up big advertisements. The name Nabarupa is just there on the front. Dr Pe Sahiri Sarani has its own rhythm, and we are just a small part of it. Sometimes the rain makes the street quiet, and those are the days we get a lot of cleaning done. We don't have any fancy titles or a big management team. It’s just a few of us doing what we know how to do. We take things as they come and try to keep a steady pace throughout the week. It’s just a normal way to live and work.
