Mittal Garments

We are located on the 3rd floor of the building at 134/4 Mahatma Gandhi Road. Specifically, Mittal Garments is in Room Number 311. Being on the third floor means people have to walk up quite a few stairs since the elevator is often grumpy. MG Road is always a chaotic place with cars honking and people everywhere. Up here, it is a little bit quieter, though you can still hear the traffic below. We deal with all kinds of garments. The room is filled with stacks of clothes almost reaching the ceiling. It can get quite stuffy in the summer months because the ventilation is not the best in these old city buildings. We have a few old fans that keep the air moving. My brother and I manage the daily tasks. We spend most of our time sorting through new arrivals and packing up stuff for customers. It is not a showroom where you come to browse leisurely; it is more of a place where business gets done. We have been in this room for years, and the walls have seen a lot of different styles come and go. Sometimes we run out of space and have to stack boxes in the hallway for a bit. It is a bit of a squeeze, but we make it work. Every day is different, depending on what the suppliers bring us. We just keep at it, trying to stay ahead of the orders. We often eat our lunch right here among the boxes.
