Mina Saree Private Limited is on the 2nd floor at No. 4 Kali Krishna Tagore Street. It is right opposite Ganesh Talkies, which most people know well. Being in this part of the city means it is always noisy and full of life. We spend our days surrounded by hundreds of sarees in every color you can think of. The shelves go all the way to the ceiling and sometimes we need a ladder to reach the ones at the top. It is a family-run kind of feel here, even if we are a private limited company. We take our time showing the fabrics to people who come in. We don't really have a big marketing team; we just rely on people knowing we are here. The floor is usually covered in bits of thread and packing paper by the end of the day. We have to be careful with the tea cups around the expensive silk. Sometimes the fans don't work as well as they should, and it gets stuffy. We have a routine of opening up early and sorting the new arrivals. Each saree has to be folded just right or it looks messy. It is a lot of standing and walking around. We’ve been in this building for quite a while now. The elevator is sometimes out of order, so the stairs get used a lot. It’s just a regular business day for us, every day, from morning until the shutters come down at night.
