Mile Stone Fashion

Mile Stone Fashion is located at 17 Camac Street, right in Suite 9a. If you’ve been to Camac Street, you know it’s one of those places where there is always something happening. Our suite is a bit of a retreat from the noise outside, though you can still hear the horns honking every now and then. We work on different fashion pieces here, mostly focused on getting the designs and the fits just right. It’s a small space, so we have to be careful about where we put things. There are racks of clothes and piles of patterns sitting on almost every available surface. We don't have a big fancy showroom, it's more of a working studio where the real labor happens. We spend a lot of time with measuring tapes and chalk, marking out what needs to be changed. It can be a bit messy when we’re in the middle of a big project, but we clean up once a week. The people who work here are okay at what they do and we don’t really care about being formal. We wear what’s comfortable and drink a lot of coffee while we work. It’s a straightforward business. People come to 9a because they know we’ve been here for a while and we just do the work without any fuss. It’s a good spot for us and we’ve gotten used to the busy street outside our door.
