Merry Kurtis Llp

Merry Kurtis Llp is on the first floor of 29A Vivekanand Road. If you know that area of Kolkata, you know it’s a very old and established part of the city. We are up one flight of stairs. It’s a modest space where we handle all our kurtis. We aren't a big fashion house with a runway or anything like that. We just make and sell kurtis. Being on the first floor gives us a bit of a view of the street but mostly we are focused on what’s inside. There are piles of fabric and finished pieces everywhere you look. It’s a bit of a maze sometimes. We don't really do the whole corporate thing with missions and values. We just try to make things that people will actually want to wear. Most of our day is spent checking the sizes and the colors. It’s a small team here and we all do a bit of everything. Sometimes we are the ones packing the boxes and sometimes we are the ones answering the phone. It’s very hands-on. We like being on Vivekanand Road. It feels like we are part of the real Kolkata. We don't have a lot of fancy furniture or a reception desk. You just walk in and we are there working. It’s a straightforward business and we don't try to make it seem like more than it is.
