We are up on the ninth floor of the CIC Building on Chowringhee Road. It is an old building, but it works for us. Getting to Flat A-10 takes a bit of time because the lifts can be slow during the lunch hour. Most of us have been here for years. We deal with clothes and fashion stuff mostly. It's a lot of paperwork and looking at fabrics every day. Being at 33A means we are right in the middle of everything in the city. The view from the window is mostly just other rooftops and the busy street below. Sometimes it gets pretty loud with all the horns honking down there. We keep our office fairly simple. There are piles of samples on the tables and some old filing cabinets in the corner. We don't really have a big reception area or anything like that. People just walk in and we get to talking. It’s a busy place. We spend a lot of time on the phone with suppliers. Sometimes the air conditioner acts up in the summer, but we manage. It’s just how things are in this part of town. We just focus on the orders we have to fill. No big speeches or fancy presentations here. Just hard work in a crowded office space. We usually leave once the sun goes down and the traffic starts to thin out a bit.
