Mansa Sarees

Mansa Sarees is tucked away in G-21 New Market. If you know New Market, you know it can be a bit of a maze sometimes. We are near Golghar, which makes it a little easier for people to find us. Usually, we tell everyone it is an easy entry from Gate No. 1. That helps avoid the worst of the crowds outside. The shop is filled with sarees from top to bottom. We spend a lot of time organizing the stacks because they get mixed up quickly when customers are looking through them. New Market is always loud and full of energy, which we like. Mansa Sarees has been here for a while and we’ve gotten used to the fast pace. It is not the kind of place where you find fancy decorations or bright signs. We just have the clothes and some stools for people to sit on while they look at the different patterns. The lighting in G-21 is bright so you can see the thread work clearly. We don't have a huge staff, just a few of us who know where everything is kept. Sometimes it takes a minute to find a specific color but we usually get there. It is a busy life in the market but we wouldn't have it any other way. Getting in through Gate No. 1 is definitely the best way to get here without getting lost in the back lanes of the building.
