Lakhani Stores

Lakhani Stores is located at No. 203/1 Mahatma Gandhi Road, right across from Geetha Cafe. We’ve been in this spot for a long time, and we’ve seen the street change quite a bit over the years. The shop is packed with shelves from floor to ceiling, holding all sorts of things that people might need in a hurry. It’s a bit cramped inside, and we often have to climb a ladder to reach the stuff on the top shelves. We don't really have a fancy layout or bright lights; it’s more of a traditional setup where you ask for what you need and we find it for you. The smell of coffee from Geetha Cafe often drifts over in the afternoons, which is nice. We spend most of our day chatting with regular customers who have been coming to us since they were kids. It’s a busy part of town, so there’s always someone walking in for a small item or just to check if we have something specific in stock. Our ledger is always on the counter, filled with handwritten notes because we still prefer doing things that way. Sometimes the delivery trucks block the entrance for a few minutes, and we have to help them unload quickly. It’s just a normal shop run by people who live nearby and care about keeping the shelves stocked with practical things for the neighborhood. We are just here to help the locals.
