Madura Garments

We are based on Dr. Sudhir Bose Road in the Khidderpore area of Kolkata. The exact spot is 60/H/13. Khidderpore is a very lively place to be, and there is never a dull moment when you step outside. Our shop is tucked away a bit from the main rush. We do a lot of garment work here, mostly the sewing and the final finishing before things are sent out. It is a busy atmosphere with the sound of the machines going all day long. We have a small crew and we all know each other well. It is not a formal place at all. We wear our regular clothes and talk about whatever is going on in the city while we work. The space is a bit cramped because we have so many rolls of fabric sitting around on the floor and tables. We try to keep it tidy but when a big order comes in, the place gets a bit chaotic for a few days. We don't use any big marketing words to describe what we do. We just make clothes for people. Some days are very long, especially when we have deadlines to meet before the weekend. We take breaks when we can and usually send someone out to get snacks or tea for everyone. We have been in this location for years and the local people know where to find us. We just take it one day at a time.
