We've been here at P166/1 in the CIT Scheme for a while now. It's a busy part of Kolkata. People usually just drop by when they are looking for something to wear. We keep a lot of different clothes in the shop. It gets a bit crowded sometimes with all the boxes, but that’s just how it is. My family started this because we knew about fabrics. We spend most of our day sorting through stocks and talking to customers who live nearby. If you walk down the road near the 700054 area, you will find us easily. We don't really have fancy displays. We just put things on the shelves where they fit. Some days are slow, others are packed. We try to keep things organized but sometimes the piles of sarees or suits get a little messy when people are looking through them. It is a small place, honestly. We mostly deal with folks from the neighborhood. Most of our regulars know us by name. We don't spend money on big ads or anything like that. We just open the shutters in the morning and wait for the day to start. It’s hard work, standing on your feet all day, but it’s what we do. The lighting inside isn't the best, but you can see the colors well enough. We just wanted a place where we could sell decent clothes at a price that makes sense for the local people here.
