M & S Exports

M & S Exports is over at 43 Elliot Road. This part of town has changed a lot since we first set up shop, but our building remains pretty much the same. It’s a straightforward place without any bells or whistles. We handle exports, which means there is always something being boxed up or moved around. The street outside can be a bit chaotic with the traffic, especially during the monsoon when the puddles get deep. Our office is just a few rooms where we keep our records and manage the logistics. We don’t have a fancy website or a marketing department. Most people find us because they’ve worked with us before or heard about us from someone else in the trade. We have a couple of old wooden desks and some metal filing cabinets that have seen better days. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we never seem to get around to it because there is always something more urgent to do. On most days, you’ll find the windows open to catch whatever breeze comes down Elliot Road. We know the neighbors well, and we usually get our afternoon tea from the same guy who has been coming by with a kettle for years. It’s a modest operation, but it keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday. We don't try to be something we're not.
