Loriya Garments Private Limited

Loriya Garments Private Limited is based over at Y-19/2, Mazher Para Lane. This is in the 700018 area of Kolkata, West Bengal. If you know Mazher Para Lane, you know it’s a tight squeeze sometimes with all the bikes and people moving through. Our building is right in the thick of it. We do all our garment work inside, and it’s usually a bit of a squeeze there too because of all the stock we keep. There’s always someone coming or going with a bag of samples or finished pieces. The walls are a bit dusty and the paint is peeling in a few spots, but that doesn't stop us from getting the work done. We aren't trying to impress anyone with a fancy office. It’s just a place to work. In the winter it’s nice, but in the monsoon, the lane can get a bit messy with the rain. We just keep the doors shut and keep the machines running. Most of us have been working together for a long time, so we don't need to talk much to know what needs to be done. We just handle the garments and try to stay on top of the schedule. Loriya Garments is just a local business doing what we know how to do. No big mission statements, just a bunch of people working on clothes in a narrow lane in Kolkata. We just hope the electricity stays on so we can finish our batches.
