At 37 Royd Street, things are usually pretty busy from morning until evening. We run Libas India from this location. This street has a lot of history, and we’ve been here for a chunk of it ourselves. Most of what we do involves clothes and fabrics. If you walk in, you’ll see racks and piles of cloth in almost every corner of the room. We don’t have much extra space, so we have to be really smart about where we put everything to keep it organized. People pass by our door constantly. Some of them stop in to see what we’re working on, while others are just heading to the main road nearby. It’s a very active part of town. We’ve been doing this for a long time now. On slow days, we just sit and talk while waiting for a delivery truck to show up with more stock. Other days are so hectic that we barely have a chance to eat our lunch. We aren't fancy people here. We just wear our regular clothes and do the work that needs finishing. Sometimes the lights flicker or the street gets messy when it rains, but that’s just part of being on Royd Street. We know most of the neighbors quite well. The tea stall on the corner is where we usually take a short break in the afternoon. It’s a simple routine. We focus on the garments and making sure they look right before they leave.
