If you go down to the Alipore Chetla Crossing, you’ll find us at No. 5-A. Laxhmi Narayan Fashion & Exports has been at this Alipore spot for some time. We handle a lot of different clothes and do some export work too, which keeps us pretty busy with paperwork and packing boxes. The crossing is usually noisy with traffic, but inside the office, it’s mostly just us working through orders. It is not a fancy setup. We have desks, some samples hanging up, and plenty of tea to get through the day. Sometimes things get a little chaotic with shipments coming and going, but that's just the nature of the export business in a city like this. We don’t spend much time on fancy talk or decorations. We just focus on getting the garments where they need to go. Chetla is a familiar neighborhood for us, and being near the crossing makes it easy for people to drop by if they have business with us. We’ve seen the area change over the years while we stayed right here at No. 5-A. It’s a practical kind of place. We deal with fashion, but we don't act like we're on a runway or anything like that. It's just work. If you need to find us, just look for the building near the crossing. We’ll likely be inside sorting through some fabric or checking a list. It’s how we’ve always done things here.
