King'S Heaven Garments

Our place, King'S Heaven Garments, is on the ground floor at 7/1 A Gobinda Dhar Lane. We are very close to the Nakhoda Masjid in the Tiretti area. If you know that part of the city, you know how busy it gets. The lanes are narrow and there are people everywhere at all hours. Being near the Masjid means we hear the calls to prayer and the bustle of the markets every single day. Our shop is on the ground floor, which makes it easy to move fabric in and out, but it also means we get a lot of dust from the street. We’ve got several sewing machines set up and a big table where we do the cutting. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze when all of us are working at once. The walls are covered with different samples and scraps of paper with notes on them. We don't use any fancy systems. We just write things down and keep them in a drawer. It’s a loud, busy, and somewhat messy environment, but we like it that way. It feels like we are right in the middle of everything. We’ve been here for years and have seen many people come through these lanes. We just focus on our work and try to keep up with the pace of the neighborhood. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s ours. We just keep the machines running.
