Gurubhai Garments Pvt. Ltd. is located at 1120 Laskarhat in Tagore Park, Block I. We have been working out of this space for quite some time now. It is a busy area with a lot of people moving around. Our focus is on making and selling clothes. It is not a high-fashion boutique or anything like that. We just make regular garments for everyday use by normal people. The workspace can get pretty loud with the sewing machines going, but that is just the sound of work getting done. We have a group of dedicated people here who know their way around a piece of fabric. We do not spend money on fancy brochures or glossy advertisements. Most of our business comes from word of mouth or people seeing our work on someone else. The Tagore Park area is a good spot for us because it is well-connected. We spend our mornings checking the fabric quality and our afternoons making sure the orders are ready to go out to the customers. It is a lot of physical work, lifting rolls of cloth and packing heavy boxes. Sometimes we run behind schedule when a machine breaks down, but we just fix it and keep going. We are not a giant company with a board of directors. We are just a local garment business trying to do a good job. We like the community here and we have known most of our suppliers for years. It is a simple, honest way to make a living and we are happy to be part of Laskarhat.
