Candid Fashions

Down at 45/ H/ 7 Karl Marx Sarani, things are usually moving pretty fast. This is where Candid Fashions is located. It’s not like those big malls you see in the city. We have sewing machines going and bits of thread all over the floor. The street outside is always full of people and vehicles, so there’s a constant hum of activity coming through the door. We work with different types of fabrics and try to get the stitching right. Sometimes a needle breaks or the thread gets tangled, and we have to stop and fix it, which can be annoying when there’s a lot to do. We don't have a big sign with lights. It’s just our workroom where we spend most of our hours. The light isn't always the best in the corners, so we have to use extra lamps. We talk a lot while we work, mostly about stuff going on at home or what we’re going to eat for lunch. It’s a small team, and we’ve all known each other for a long time. People from the neighborhood stop in to see what’s new or to ask if we can fix something for them. We just take it day by day, making sure the orders are ready when they’re supposed to be. It’s a bit messy and crowded inside, but it’s just our way of doing things here.
