Y Tulsi Garments

Y Tulsi Garments is located at U-103/4 on Karbala Road. We are tucked away behind the A. C. Plaza Market. Actually, if you are looking for us, you have to go right behind the plaza twice, which sounds confusing but makes sense when you are standing there. The area is always packed with shoppers and people carrying big bags of clothes. Inside our place, it’s mostly the sound of sewing machines and the hiss of the steam irons. We have piles of fabric in different colors stacked up against the walls. It isn't a showroom; it's a workshop. There are threads all over the floor by the end of the shift. We usually have some tea around mid-morning and talk about what needs to be finished by evening. The lighting is bright so we can see the stitching clearly. It gets quite warm with all the people and the machines running at once, so we keep the windows open, even if the noise from the market comes in. The address is a bit hard to find for newcomers, but once you know the way past the market, it’s easy. We have a small wooden sign near the entrance. We have been in this spot for a while now, and we know most of the other shop owners around Karbala Road. It’s a tight space but we make it work.
