Kamal Bastralaya

You can find us over at No. 7 Raja Subodh Chandra Mallick Road. We are pretty close to Garia Bridge, so the traffic outside is usually moving along or stuck during the rush. It is a busy spot for sure. Our shop, Kamal Bastralaya, is where we spend most of our daylight hours. We have been here for a good while now. Inside, there are stacks of different clothes and fabrics everywhere you look. It is not some fancy mall store with bright flashing lights. It is just a regular place where local people stop in to see what we have on the shelves. Sometimes the floor gets a bit dusty because of the road outside, but we try to keep things in order. We usually open up early and stay until the evening crowds start thinning out. People know us in this part of town. If you are walking down from the bridge, you will see our sign. We don't really do much advertising or anything like that. We just focus on the stuff we have in stock and making sure people find what they need for their families. There is always someone here cutting fabric or folding things back up after a customer looks through them. It gets a bit cramped when five or six people come in at once, but we make it work. That is just how things go around Garia. We like being part of the neighborhood and seeing the same faces every week.
