You can find us at C-4/11-12 inside the Dr. B. C. Roy Market. We're pretty close to the Viran Hotel on Sudhir Basu Road. Kolkata markets can be a bit overwhelming if you aren't used to the noise and crowds, and our spot is right in the thick of it. Kabir Garments has been here for a good bit of time now. The market gets loud and dusty, but it’s where all the action happens every day. We’ve got two units joined together so we have enough room for all the stock we keep. It’s a lot of climbing stairs and moving heavy boxes every single day. The tea guy comes around every couple of hours, which is honestly the best part of the afternoon for us. We handle all sorts of garments for different people. Some customers have been coming to us since we first opened the doors. It’s not a polished showroom with mirrors and lights. It’s just a shop with a lot of clothes and people moving around. The traffic near Viran Hotel is always a mess, so we usually just walk to the market instead of driving. We don't have a big staff, just a few guys who know exactly where everything is kept in the piles. If you ask for something specific, it might take us a minute to find it in the stacks. We just keep doing what we do and try to keep everyone happy. The market life is busy and tiring, but we really like the energy here.
