Jiya Creation

We are located out in Newtown, specifically in the Jagardanga area of Gopalpur. If you find yourself near Derozeo College, then you are actually very close to Jiya Creation. This part of Kolkata has grown so much in the last few years. We have a small workshop here where we handle various types of boutique and tailoring work. It's a simple enough room with a few sewing machines and a lot of different fabrics piled up. My wife handles most of the design details and I look after the people working here and the logistics. We aren't some high-end fashion house with a big name. We just make clothes that look decent and fit the customers well. Sometimes the rainy season makes the roads around here a bit muddy and difficult, but people still manage to find their way to our door. We’ve been working out of this spot for about four years now. It actually started out as just a small hobby and then slowly turned into this business. We don't have a big marketing budget to work with, so we just rely on the local people living nearby telling their friends about us. The college students from down the road sometimes drop by just to see what new things we are making. It’s a nice enough spot to work, though the daily commute can be a bit much if you are coming from the main city. We just stay focused on our daily tasks.
