Creation

Our place is at 8/3/30/1 Jessore Road. If you know this road, you know how much traffic passes by every single hour. It’s one of those main arteries where things are always moving. We are right in the thick of it. Inside our doors, things are a bit more focused. We call ourselves Creation because that’s really what we do—we put things together. Whether it’s sewing, assembling, or designing, there’s always something being built here. The walls are lined with samples and old sketches from projects we finished years ago. We don’t throw much away because you never know when an old idea might become useful again. The floor is concrete and can get a bit cold in the winter, so we usually have a rug or two near the desks. Most of our day is spent at the workbenches. We don’t have a big marketing department or anything like that. We just do the work and hope people like it enough to tell their friends. It’s a bit of a dusty environment with all the materials we handle, but we don’t mind. We have a small kettle in the corner for making tea, which is pretty much the fuel for the whole operation. Jessore Road is loud, but when we’re busy working, we don’t really notice it anymore. It’s just home for us and our work. It gets the job done.
