Hetro Fashion

Hetro Fashion is tucked away in the streets of Calcutta. This city has a way of being both chaotic and wonderful at the same time, and we are right in the thick of it. We don't have a huge glass building or a big sign, but we’ve been working in the clothing and fashion trade here for a long time. The space is filled with fabrics, samples, and the sound of people talking over the noise from the street. Calcutta is a place where everyone is always in a hurry, and our workspace reflects that energy. We spend our days looking at different materials and trying to figure out what looks right. It’s not like those fancy offices you see in movies. There are stacks of boxes and people busy at their workstations. Sometimes the humidity is really something, and we have to keep the windows open or the fans on high just to stay comfortable while we work. We’ve got a mix of older workers who have been here for decades and some younger ones learning the ropes. We don't spend a lot of time worrying about being corporate. We just care about the items we are making and getting them out to where they need to go. It’s a lot of manual work and paying attention to small details, but that’s how we’ve always done it here in the city. The tea stalls nearby are where we usually end up during our breaks.
