Head Turners

We have a few spots around, including Park Street and Sector V. It keeps us moving back and forth across the city. Working on Park Street is always an experience because it’s so busy all the time. Our shops aren't these silent, scary places. They’re usually full of talking, the sound of blow dryers, and the smell of shampoo. We see all kinds of people coming in for a trim or something more. It’s a lot of standing, and our backs usually ache by the end of the day. We don't act like we're in a movie. We're just regular people who are good with scissors and combs. Sometimes the floors are covered in hair during a rush, and we have to sweep fast. We talk to our customers about their day or the weather. It makes the time go by quicker. Whether it’s at City Centre 2 or over in Kasba, the vibe is pretty much the same. We just want people to walk out feeling a bit better than when they came in. There’s no big philosophy behind it. We just do our jobs and try to keep the mirrors clean. Head Turners has been around for a bit now, and we’ve seen styles change and come back again. It’s just our life in the salon. We drink a lot of tea between appointments to keep our energy up. Sometimes the music is a bit loud, but it keeps the mood going well.
