Gouri Fashion Creation. We are situated on the first floor at 35 Jamuna Lal Bazaz Street. You have to walk up some narrow stairs to get to us. The street downstairs is always packed with people and carts moving back and forth. It is one of those old parts of town where everything is tight and busy. Inside our space, there are piles of fabric everywhere. Different colors and textures are just stacked up on the shelves and sometimes on the floor if we run out of room. We have a few sewing machines going and the sound is pretty constant. It is a bit of a maze once you get inside. We have been on Jamuna Lal Bazaz Street for quite a while. We don't have a big fancy sign outside, just the one on the first floor. Most of our visitors are people who have been coming to us for years. We just sit here and work on the designs and the stitching. It gets a bit stuffy in the afternoon, but we open the windows and watch the chaos on the street below. It is a good spot for seeing what people are wearing and getting ideas. Gouri Fashion Creation is just our little workspace in the middle of a very busy city. We keep things moving and try to finish our work before it gets too late to find a ride home.
