Geetanjali Nowlakha

Geetanjali Nowlakha works from Swinhoe Apartments at 12/1 Swinhoe Street. We are in Flat A-4 on the first floor. It is a nice enough building, and being on the first floor is quite convenient since nobody has to wait for the elevator. The office is essentially a converted apartment, so it has that cozy, domestic feel to it. There is a small balcony where we sometimes stand to get some air, and the main room is where all the desks are. It is not a very big operation. Geetanjali Nowlakha is usually here along with a couple of others. We don't have a lot of fancy technology, just the basic computers and a printer that works when it wants to. The neighborhood around Swinhoe Street is relatively calm compared to the rest of Kolkata, which makes it a good place to concentrate. We don't have any polished marble floors or glass partitions. The furniture is a bit older, and the shelves are a bit dusty, but it feels like a real workplace. We aren't trying to look like a big multinational company. We are just local people doing our jobs from a flat in Swinhoe Apartments. If you come to the door at A-4, just ring the bell. Someone is usually there to answer. It’s a very simple, honest setup for the work we do every day. We don't need much more than that to keep things running properly. It works for us.
