Geeta Sarees & Suits is located at 147 Cotton Street. If you’ve ever been to Cotton Street, you know it’s a chaotic place with narrow lanes and tons of people. We’ve been at this address for a long time. Our shop is packed from floor to ceiling with sarees and suit pieces. It’s a bit of a maze inside, and you have to be careful not to knock over a stack of fabric. We don't have a modern interior or fancy lighting. It’s just an old-school shop where the focus is entirely on the clothes. 147 Cotton Street is a busy building, and there’s always something happening right outside our door. We don't bother with marketing or big sales pitches. Most of our customers have been coming to us for years, or they find us while wandering through the market. It’s a family business, and we all take turns behind the counter. The work is physically demanding, especially when we have to haul big bundles of cloth up and down. We don't have a formal mission statement. We just want to sell good sarees and make enough to keep the lights on. The noise of the handcarts and the shouting of the street vendors is just part of our daily life. It’s an honest, traditional way of doing business in a very old part of the city.
