Geeta Fashions

Geeta Fashions is up on the second floor of 147 Cotton Street. If you know this area, you know how crowded Cotton Street gets. There are people everywhere and handcarts moving through the narrow lanes all day long. Getting up to the second floor is a bit of a climb but it’s quieter once you get inside. We have been in this building for quite some time. The walls are old and the stairs are a bit worn down, but it has character. We spend our days surrounded by bundles of cloth. Since it’s Cotton Street, there is always a lot of talk about fabric quality and prices going up or down. We aren't a big fancy boutique with air conditioning that freezes you out. It’s just a regular room with shelves from floor to ceiling. Sometimes the rain leaks a little near the window when it’s heavy, so we have to move the stock around. We don't have a team of people doing sales, it's just us handling everything from the phone calls to the folding. Most of our visitors are people who have been coming to this street for years. They know the shortcuts and which buildings have the stuff they want. We just try to keep enough variety on the shelves so people feel like the climb up the stairs was worth it.
