Garment Mandi

You’ll find Garment Mandi on the 4th floor of No. 1/2 Safiul Kat Gola, right here in Metiabruz. Being on the 4th floor means we don’t get many random people just walking in from the street. Most people who come up here are looking for us specifically. The stairs can be a bit of a climb, especially when you’re carrying a heavy load, but there is a small lift that works most of the time. The space is quite open, with big tables where we sort through the garments. Metiabruz is famous for clothing, so there’s a lot of competition around here. We just try to do our own thing. The windows look out over the rooftops of other similar buildings. It’s always dusty because of all the fabric being moved around, so we spend a lot of time sweeping. We have piles of finished clothes waiting to be packed and sent out. It’s a lot of manual work. My hands are usually tired by the end of the day from folding and bagging everything. We don't have a receptionist or a fancy lobby. If you come in, you’ll probably see me or one of the guys working on an order. We’ve been in this building for several years. It’s loud, it’s busy, and there’s always something that needs to be moved or counted. That’s just how it is in this part of town. We just keep working.
