Ezra Street is always a bit chaotic, isn’t it? We’re tucked away on the 2nd floor at number 9. You have to walk up the stairs, and it’s usually quite a workout if you’re carrying boxes. Garg Seasonwears is a place where we mostly focus on getting the stock sorted. Depending on the time of year, we might be swimming in heavy jackets or lighter stuff. The space is a bit tight, especially when a new shipment arrives and takes up all the floor space. We don’t have a fancy showroom. It’s mostly just shelves and racks and a couple of desks where we handle the billing. It gets dusty, and the ceiling fan hums a bit too loud, but it works for us. We’ve been here long enough that the other shopkeepers on the street know us by name. It’s a lot of manual work, checking labels and making sure nothing got damaged in transit. We don’t really do big advertising or anything. Most of our business comes from people who have been buying from us for a long time. They know where to find us. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoon, and we just open the windows and keep going. It’s just the way things are in this part of town. We’re simple people running a simple business. We focus on the clothes and the orders, and we try not to let the stress of the busy street get to us too much.
