Fashion Designer

We operate out of Nabapally, specifically near Chingrighatta in Salt Lake, Sector-4. The address is Quarter Number 311, and it’s a bit of a residential feel here compared to the big markets. We’re known as Fashion Designer, but we work out of the space provided by Mahadev Ghosh. It’s a bit different working from a quarter, but it suits us just fine because it’s quiet enough to focus on the sewing. Kolkata is a big city, but our little corner feels more like a community. We have a few machines set up in the main room, and the light from the window is usually enough to see by until the evening. We spend our mornings cutting out shapes and our afternoons putting them together. It’s not a fancy showroom with lights and mirrors. It’s more of a workshop where real work happens. You might see some thread on the rug or a few half-finished pieces draped over the chairs. We take our time with things because rushing usually leads to mistakes. We’ve been in the Salt Lake area for a while now, and we’ve seen the neighborhood change, but our work stays pretty much the same. It’s just about getting the clothes made and ready for whoever needs them. We don't have any big speeches to give. We just show up, do the work, and head home when the job is done.
