Fashion Darbaar

If you know Gariahat Road South, you probably know where we are. Fashion Darbaar is at No. 6, right in the heart of the Dhakuria area. It's a small place, but we keep it full. We sell clothes, mostly things people can wear every day or for small family functions. We aren't a big mall or anything like that. It is just a regular shop where we know many of our customers by their first names. Sometimes the stock is a bit messy because people are always looking through the piles, but that is how it is. We try to get new stuff in when we can. My father started this, and now we just keep it going. The traffic on Gariahat Road is always loud, but inside it is okay. We don't use big fancy lights or expensive displays. We just put the clothes out and let people decide. Some days it is very hot in the shop, especially in the summer, but the fans keep things moving. People come here because they know we won't push them to buy things they don't need. We're just a local business trying to make a living. It is a lot of work, especially during the festival seasons when everyone wants something new. We just stay open late and hope for the best. It is a simple life here in South Dhakuria.
