Eurynome Apparels And Accessories Private Limited is located right in the middle of the chaos that is Burrabazar. We are on the first floor at 59 Jamunalal Bajaj Street. If you’ve ever been down this street, you know it’s one of the most intense trading areas in the country. The building is old and the staircase is narrow, but once you get up to the first floor, it’s our space. We deal with clothes and accessories all day long. The room is often filled with the smell of new textiles and the sound of people shouting in the street below. It’s a very traditional way of doing business in Kolkata. We don't have a website with fancy graphics or a PR team. It’s just us sitting in a room, surrounded by piles of stock and ledgers. We know the other shopkeepers on the street, and we’ve seen the seasons change from this window for quite a while. The 1st-floor location is better than being on the street level because it’s slightly less dusty, but it’s still very much a part of the market life. We spend a lot of time checking quality and packing things up for delivery. It’s hard work and the hours can be long, especially during the festive seasons when the market goes crazy. But this is where the industry is, so this is where we stay. It’s just a honest, busy place to work.
