Ethni Colours

Ethni Colours is based in HB Block, over in Sector 2 of Salt Lake. It’s a nice, leafy part of the neighborhood, and we’ve been here for several years now. Our place is filled with different fabrics and dyes, as you might guess from the name. We deal with a lot of traditional stuff, but we don't make a big show of it. It’s just what we like and what we’re good at handling. The shelves are usually overflowing with stacks of cloth and bundles of thread. It can look a bit chaotic to someone walking in for the first time, but we know exactly where everything is. We spend most of our mornings sorting through new arrivals and checking for any snags in the material. People from the block often stop by to see what’s new or to pick up something they saw in the window last week. We don't do much online stuff; we prefer when people come in and actually touch the fabric before they buy it. It’s a small shop, and sometimes we run out of space for all the things we want to keep. We don't have a big marketing plan. We just open the shutters in the morning, put on some tea, and wait for the neighbors to stop by. It’s a comfortable way to work. We are just regular people who love working with colors and fabrics every day and sharing that with the community.
