Started the shop on Old Calcutta Road a few years back. Most people in Pansila know the spot because we’re right near Jahaj Bari in Kalyan Nagar. It’s a busy enough area but we like it here. Sometimes the traffic gets a bit much outside but once you’re inside it’s okay. We keep things pretty simple. There isn’t much to say about the decor, just some chairs and mirrors that do the job. My cousin helped me set up the place. We get a lot of locals coming in after work or on Sunday mornings when they have some free time. It’s mostly regular faces. You get to know what people like after a while, so we don't have to ask too many questions anymore. The fan hums a bit in the corner but nobody really minds. We’ve got the 700112 pin code area covered. Kalyan Nagar is a nice neighborhood to be in. We try to keep the place tidy but it’s a working shop so there’s usually some hair on the floor until we sweep it up at the end of the hour. We don't have a big fancy sign or anything, just the name Dutches on the front. If you are walking down the road from the main junction, you’ll see us soon enough. It’s just a normal place for people to get sorted out. We are here most days unless something comes up at home and we need to close early or stay home to watch the kids sometimes.
