Kaiya Creation

You can find Kaiya Creation over at Manashbhumi Byelane, right near Laurel Public School in the Italgacha area. It’s a nice little corner of the neighborhood. Being near the school means there's always a lot of noise and kids running around in the afternoons. We quite like the energy of it. Our work involves a lot of fabric and thread. We spend most of our hours cutting, measuring, and putting things together. It’s a hands-on kind of job. The workspace isn't very big, so we have to keep it tidy or we’d run out of room pretty fast. We’ve got a few sewing machines and a large table for cutting. Sometimes the light in the byelane isn't great, so we have extra lamps everywhere. We started this because we wanted to make things with our own hands. It’s not a factory; it’s just a small group of us working together. Most of the people who work here live within walking distance. We know the post office staff over at Italgacha well since we’re always sending things out. We don't have a fancy website or a marketing team. We just do the work and hope people like what we make. Sometimes we have a cup of tea and talk about the designs. It’s a quiet life mostly, except when the school bell rings. We’ve been in this part of Manashbhumi for a while and don't plan on moving anywhere else for a long time.
