Dipa

Dipa is the name of our small place located at 81 Jawpur Road in Kolkata. We are on the ground floor, so it is very easy to spot us as you walk down the street. A good way to find us is to look for the Hanuman Mandir, as we are situated very close to it. You can often hear the sounds from the temple throughout the day, which gives the whole area a very specific kind of feel. Jawpur Road is a busy residential stretch, and we have been part of this community for quite some time now. Our space is not very large, but we have organized it to work for what we do. We don't spend much on flashy signs or modern decor because we think the work should speak for itself. It is a very straightforward operation here. Most of our customers are people who live in the surrounding buildings and have been coming to us for years. It is a bit like a small family. We deal with the usual daily challenges of running a shop in a crowded city like Kolkata, from the summer heat to the monsoon rains leaking in a bit. But we keep the doors open and do our best every day. There is no corporate office or big management team behind us, just us working on the ground floor near the temple. It is a quiet, practical life and we are happy to be a part of this neighborhood.
