Darzi Kraft Apparels Private Limited

Our place is located at 6, Tarini Charan Ghosh Lane. It is a bit of a narrow street, so it can be tricky for big trucks to get in and out. The building is an older one, but it is sturdy and gives us enough room for our apparel work. We spend most of our days here with the sewing machines and cutting tables. It is not a quiet office, but the sound of the machines is something we have grown to like. We are a small team and most of us live close by in the neighborhood. We do not have any big signs or advertisements outside. People usually find us by word of mouth or if they know the lane well. The workspace is often filled with bits of thread and scraps of cloth. We try to sweep up at the end of the day, but it is never quite perfect. There is a small desk in the corner where we keep our logbooks and the phone. It is a bit messy, but we know where every piece of paper is kept. We do not have any formal meetings; we just talk across the tables while we work. On rainy days, the lane gets a few puddles, and it smells like wet pavement. It is a straightforward, honest way to make a living. We just focus on the garments and getting things finished by the time they are needed.
