You have to go up to the third floor at 13 Allenby Road to find us. Cnh Apparels has been here for a while now. The building is right in the middle of Kolkata, so it is always lively and loud outside on the street. Up on the third floor, it is a little bit quieter, but we still hear the car horns honking down below. We do a lot of our work on big wooden tables. It is mostly about checking the fabrics and making sure the stitching is okay on the garments. We are not doing anything revolutionary here; we just make clothes for people. The space is a bit cramped because we have so many rolls of cloth taking up the floor room. We try to keep it organized, but by the middle of the week, things usually look a bit chaotic. Our team is small, mostly just local folks who know their way around a sewing machine or a ledger. We do not use those fancy business terms because they do not really mean much in our day-to-day life. We just want to finish the work so we can go home to our families in the evening. Sometimes we stay late when a big order is due, and we will share some snacks and tea to keep our energy up. Allenby Road is a good place to be, even if the stairs are a bit steep. We have gotten used to the climb every morning.
