Kenderdine Lane is where you can find us. We are at number 5. If you blink while walking past, you might miss the entrance because the lane is quite tucked away and narrow. We have been working out of this spot for Clement Vegan Fashion, trying to figure out how to make things without using any leather or animal products. It is not always easy to find the right materials that look good and hold up over time, but we spend a lot of time looking for suppliers. The office is pretty simple. We have a few desks, some samples hanging on the walls, and a lot of scrap pieces lying around on the floor. It feels a bit messy sometimes, but we know where everything is kept. We are not a big fancy brand with a shiny building. It is just us in an old part of the city. The light in the lane is not always the best, so we have to use big lamps inside even during the day. Some days are slow and we just sit around talking about new designs. Other days, it is a total rush and nobody has time to even go out for lunch. We usually just order some food in. We do not use those corporate words because they do not fit how we work. We are just trying to make some clothes that people feel okay about wearing. It is a small operation and we like it that way.
