Chowringhee Collections

Chowringhee Collections is tucked away at 29A, Kabir Road, right up on the fourth floor. Kolkata is a crowded city, and finding us for the first time might take a minute if you aren't looking at the building numbers properly. We’ve been here for a bit now, surrounded by the usual noise of the busy streets below. Being on the fourth floor means it’s a little quieter than the ground level, which is nice when we’re sorting through the items we have in stock. We don’t have a big storefront with neon lights or anything. It’s more of a place where we keep our collections and handle the day-to-day business of the shop. People usually come up the stairs or use the lift if it’s working that day. We handle a lot of different things, and the piles of boxes can get a bit high sometimes when a new shipment arrives. It’s just us here, making sure everything is packed right or showing people what we have in the back rooms. Sometimes the heat in Kolkata gets to us, but we have a few old fans that keep the air moving. It’s a very local vibe here. We know the tea seller downstairs pretty well by now. We don’t try to be something we aren’t. This is just a workspace where we sell our stuff and talk to our regulars. If you are in the area of Kabir Road, you can just stop by.
