Out here in the Budge Budge area, the air always feels a bit different because of all the industry and factories around us. Our place, Cheviot Co Ltd, is right in the heart of it in Kolkata, with that 700137 pin code everyone knows. It is an old part of town, and you can really tell by the way the buildings look and how the roads have been worn down over the decades. We have got a lot of history in this particular spot. Every morning, the workers show up and the whole place starts to hum with all the activity. It is loud and it is busy, but that is the way we like it to be. We deal with a lot of heavy materials, and the concrete floors show the marks of all those years of moving goods from one side to the other. There is not much room for being fancy here; it is all about the actual work and getting the daily shipments out on time. Sometimes the heavy rain in Kolkata makes things a bit tricky, especially when the streets around Budge Budge get muddy and the trucks move slow, but we just keep going anyway. We know most of the people around here because they have been working in these parts just as long as we have. It is a community of people who know how to work hard. We don't have a big mission statement, just a clock and a calendar we use.
