Blue Stockings

You can find us up on the third floor at 208 Rashbehari Avenue, right near the Gariahat more. It's a hectic part of town, especially with the market stalls right outside. We’ve been here for a bit, tucked away above the street noise. Blue Stockings is just our small venture. We don't have a huge staff, just a couple of us who take turns managing the floor. The stairs can be a bit of a climb if the lift is acting up, which happens sometimes. Inside, it’s a bit cramped because we have a lot of stock piled up in the corners. We aren't trying to be a fancy boutique or anything like that. It's more of a practical place where people come when they need something specific. We spend a lot of our time sorting through inventory or talking to folks who drop by. The view from the window is mostly just the tops of buses and umbrellas. It gets quite hot in the afternoons, but we have a couple of fans going. Most of our regulars live nearby or work in the local shops. We don't really do social media or big sales events. We just open up in the morning and stay until the evening. It’s a straightforward life, running a shop in such a busy crossroads. We keep a ledger for the accounts and sometimes the ink smudges, but we manage. It’s just how we do things here on the third floor, without any of that modern fuss or polished branding.
