We are based in Taltala Lane, right near Park Street. It is an old part of Kolkata with narrow streets and lots of people everywhere. Our office at 52/1B is tucked away. If you aren't looking for it, you might walk right past the door without noticing. The building has been here for a long time. Inside, we handle different kinds of fashion items. It’s mostly administrative work and coordinating with the workshops where the sewing happens. The fans hum all day to keep the air moving. Since we are so close to Park Street, there is always something going on outside. The tea stall on the corner is where we usually take our breaks in the afternoon. It’s a small team here. We don't have plush carpets or glass walls. Just wooden desks and a lot of paper files. Sometimes the rain leaks a little near the window, so we have to move the boxes quickly. We’ve been in this area for years. Most of us walk to work or take the bus. It’s a practical setup. We handle orders and talk to suppliers over the phone. It gets noisy when the afternoon traffic picks up. We are just a local private company trying to get our work done. We don't spend money on fancy decorations. The focus is on the clothes we deal with. It’s a busy life here in the 700016 zip code and we just keep at it every day. We don't have a big corporate feel at all.
