Svaksha Collections

You can find Svaksha Collections at 71 Ballygunge Gardens. It’s a nice enough spot in a residential part of town. We started this because we liked looking at clothes and figured we could sell some too. The shop isn’t huge, but we fill it up with whatever we find that looks decent. We don’t follow the big fashion trends that you see on TV; we just pick things we think people around here would actually want to wear. There are piles of fabric and hangers everywhere most mornings while we’re sorting through new stock. It’s just a few of us working here, usually chatting with neighbors who drop in to see what’s new. We don't have those fancy lighting setups or mirrors that make everything look different than it is. It’s just a regular room with clothes in it. Sometimes we have a sale when the cupboards get too full, but mostly we just keep a steady flow of items. People come by after work or on their way to the market. We don't do much in the way of advertising. Usually, someone sees a friend wearing something and asks where they got it. That’s how we’ve kept going. It’s a quiet way to run a business, and it suits us just fine. We like being part of the Ballygunge neighborhood.
