Avirupas

Avirupas is located in Basu Nagar, over in Madhyamgram. We are pretty close to Gate No 1, which is a good landmark if you are trying to find us for the first time. The area is mostly houses and small shops, so it’s a friendly and quiet place to be. We’ve been operating out of this space for some time now. It’s not a very big operation at all. We have a front room where we meet people and a back area for storage and other things we need. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we haven't gotten around to it yet. We spend most of our time just handling the day-to-day stuff that comes up. It’s mostly local people who stop by to see us. We don't have a website or any of that fancy stuff; we just rely on people knowing we are here. Sometimes it gets a bit chaotic when everyone shows up at the same time, but we sort it out eventually. The weather affects us quite a bit, especially when it’s pouring rain and the street gets a little flooded. We just keep the door open and do what we can. It’s an honest way to make a living, and we really like being part of the Basu Nagar community. Nothing more to it than that. We just show up every morning, open the shutters, and get to work. It’s what we know.
