Atma Stores

You can find Atma Stores right on 5th Cross in Malleswaram. It’s a familiar spot for people living around here. We’ve been part of the street for a long time. The shop isn't very big, but we try to fit in what people need. It’s usually a bit of a squeeze when more than three people are inside at once. We keep things on the shelves in a way that makes sense to us, even if it looks a bit cluttered to others. Most of our day is spent chatting with the regulars and restocking the items that sold out the day before. We don't have a computer system that does everything; we still do a lot of things by hand. The floor is a bit worn down from all the years of people walking in and out. Sometimes we forget to turn the sign over, but the door is usually open anyway. It’s a relaxed place. We don't wear uniforms or have big sales pitches. We just sell what we have and help out where we can. Malleswaram is a nice area to be in, and 5th Cross has a good feel to it. It’s just Atma Stores, a local place where we know most of our customers by name. We just keep things moving along day by day, making sure the shelves are filled as best as we can manage for the neighborhood.
